Impact Conferences are city-wide events designed to equip, encourage, and empower young people to fulfill their destiny and purpose through Jesus Christ. They focuses on bringing student ministries and outreaches together to develop biblical relationships in the body of Christ. Adults in your community are given the opportunity to exercise and use the gifts and talents that God has given them to impact a generation to impact our nation.
According to reputable studies, 96% of all young people coming out of an evangelical church student ministry after 4 years of college say no more Jesus by their lifestyle. In other words, only 4% will live a life of commitment to Christ after college. This is not to say that they will never return to the faith. However, it does say that todays youth are being influenced more by the world out of high school than they are influencing the world! This is where Impact Conferences can help and serve your ministry. Impact brings us to an understanding that it is not about getting what we perceive as a vision and then expecting the masses to achieve and satisfy our vision but realizing the greatest vision we can have as student leaders is to take an interest, equip, and nurture their vision. The best at reaching young people for Christ are young people.
Our desire is to bring an understanding to young people of their infinite worth and value to God and His love for them. To bring an understanding that their dreams and visions are a gift from God and we are very interested in them. This is what brings purpose and destiny into the life of a young person and cultivates meaningful relationships. It has been said, "If a young person does not know who they are, the world will tell them."
Impact Conferences abound in love for the future of our youth. We help teach students (with your help) how to not only take an interest in other people, but to minister and pray for them as a lifestyle. We have bands that not only rock, but share the value of intimate worship and how kewl it is to pour your heart out to God. Students will experience ten dynamic teachings by local student pastors (teaching outlines are provided), table discussions that are real and personal, events such as "Encounter" and "Cross & Nails" that help them to build intimacy and openness with our heavenly Father, meals that are outstanding, and of course a lot of fun! Impact Conferences are normally held 2 weeks before the beginning of school. They begin on Thursday evening with a catered youth ministers/leaders banquet at a church other than the host church for that year along with a worship concert for the young people at the conference site or host church. (The speaker for the ministers banquet and concert band on Thursday evening must be from Impact.) The conference will go through Saturday evening.
